Establishing goals is important in every aspect of your life, including setting goals for your business, but one of the worst things a new business owner can do is set the goals so high that they are not attainable. Setting goals will take more than pulling a figure out of the air, especially when it comes to income from your business. To be accurate any target number you are aiming for must be within reach of the arrow or else it could fall harmlessly to the ground considerably short of the target. Every business owner has heard the advice to aim high to achieve high results. However, aiming too high could have the arrow fall straight back down hitting you in the head. In order to establish realistic goals, you will also need to set intermediate goals as well as way to achieve them. Once you have gone through the goal-setting process you will know if you have any chance at all of hitting the income target. Setting income goals for your home business has no relationship to daydreaming about what you would do if you hit the lottery. This process has to be grounded in reality. You can begin the process by pulling a number out of a hat, but then you have to go back and calculate what it will take to meet that number. Kind of like eating an elephant, it takes one bite at a time to establish a realistic goal for generating cash. For example, if your plan is to make $10,000 a month, break it into weeks, showing you need $2,500 a week to hit the goal, or $333 a day. Look at your sales or production goal to determine if the current level of production can earn an income of $333 a day and if so, maybe the number was not as arbitrary as initially thought. On the other hand, if production indicates you can only produce enough to make $250 a day, then the weekly and monthly and subsequently annual income project will have to be lowered to meet expectations. You can then look at your production schedule to determine if any streamlining can be done to improve output as well as looking at many issues that could slow you down and lower your income projections. Whenever you pencil in a number you have to also write down how you are going to meet that daily and weekly goal, taking into account anything that might hinder you achieving that goal. The most devastating affect of setting lofty goals that cannot be met is the disappointment that follows. On an individual basis, if goals are set too high, and targets are consistently missed, you might simply stop trying. What this means to the business owner is they can end up closing up shop and trying something else. For any employees, it can mean the loss of their job. Setting the goals at a realistic level and hitting them is cause for celebration, but only for a few minutes as you now start looking at the next level in the goal to meet your long-range projections. There are so many great things that you will be able to do as a work from home mom. Many people think that they either have to be a full time mom and stay home with their children, or they have to be a working mom and therefore not be home with their kids. When you are a work from home mom it means that you are working but you are working at home. This gives you plenty of time to be with your children and allows you to be there with them each day. Many times if you are a work from home mom you will be able to set your own schedule so you can work while your kids are napping or while they are at school. You will be able to find your own time to work and this means that you can also find the right times to be with your kids. Being a work from home mom is something that is great because you can set your own hours and take care of your own work and at the same time you can be there for your kids. There are many people who would prefer to be a work from home mom because it will let them finally spend that time at home with their children that they would like to spend. This is something that you have probably thought a lot about because it can be very frustrating having to be away from your children. As a work from home mom you will not have to be away from them and you will not have to worry about what you might miss. There are some things to think about as you look for a job as a work from home mom First of all, see if you can do something along the same lines that you have already done in your life. If you have education in a certain area or if you have lots of experience, you might be able to translate this to a work from home mom position. This can often be the best because you will be able to do what you already know how to do and do it from home. If you are currently working, your own boss might have a great suggestion about how to do your job from home. This can often be the best way that you have of doing things. There aren't very many times as precious in your life as your children's young years, so if you can figure out how to be a work from home mom and not have to worry about being away from them, this will be one of the best decisions that you ever made! Often, we find ourselves stuck in a rut and unhappy for reasons we cannot figure out. Happiness is something that is difficult for a lot of people to track down. Someone was faced with a problem (too few people interested in the general public, or too little profit from selling one product) and came up with a solution by thinking on their feet. Everything that you do in affiliate marketing will require this type of critical thinking, and it would be impossible to go through the hundreds of different ways that this is already true of the field. Just remember to always re-evaluate the situation you are in, and try to think critically about ways that you can make it better. Some affiliate programs have a built in system that will help you to be successful faster. Leisure Audio Books is working for me as I write!
I recently became a member of
Leisure Audio Books, and I want to share my humble opinion with you today.
This is like nothing I have ever experienced before, I was shocked to find that is totally unique, never

If you are going to become a successful affiliate on the Internet, you need 3 "intangibles." These are things that must come
from WITHIN you.

First, you must have a strong WHY.
Why must you make affiliate
marketing work? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?
For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in this business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.
If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to make money with affiliate programs or make your living on the Internet, you won't. It's that simple.
For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money
online. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.
